Speaker's Bio
Zenon Potichny holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Toronto. He is the President of Zhoda 2001 and Director of Zhoda Investments, a Sweden-listed company that invests in select European ventures, including oil and gas projects in Ukraine and vineyards in Croatia. He has also authored numerous reports and publications on oil sands and bitumen extraction processes.
In 2024, Mr. Potichny was re-elected President of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (CUCC), a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening bilateral business relations between Canada and Ukraine. Widely recognized by government, business, and civil society in both countries, CUCC serves as a trusted facilitator of trade, investment, and long-term partnerships.
Mr. Potichny’s leadership and contributions have been acknowledged at the highest levels. In 2009, he was awarded the Order of Merit, Class III by the President of Ukraine. He currently also serves as Vice President of Operations for the Ukrainian World Congress, furthering his commitment to advancing the global Ukrainian community.
