Hans-Peter Bauer is a seasoned leader in the IT security industry with more than 25 years of experience driving growth and innovation across global markets. Based in Germany, Mr. Bauer currently serves as Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at BlackBerry, where he is responsible for leading the company’s business and operations across the region.
Before joining BlackBerry, Mr. Bauer spent 14 years at McAfee, where he held the position of Vice President for Central and North/Eastern Europe. His leadership helped strengthen McAfee’s market presence and partnerships across the region.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Bauer held key roles at leading technology firms including Lotus, IBM, Symantec, and Juniper Networks, building a deep expertise in enterprise security, strategic operations, and digital transformation. His extensive background and forward-thinking perspective continue to shape BlackBerry’s mission to help businesses and government agencies across Europe proactively protect their IT infrastructures against the growing threat of cyberattacks.
